Funeral floral arrangements using spring flowers make a beautiful setting

This casket spray and matching funeral arrangements incorporate spring flowers such as tulips, freesia, iris, and pussy willow. Gerbera daisies, larkspur, snapdragons, and roses are also used in the floral designs. The designs use the bottom ends of the pussy willow branches to give the look of a bouquet. While many spring flowers are available pretty much year round, tulips are pretty scarce between June and November. I made this casket spray design for a funeral in the early part of September, 2010. I substituted white lisianthus touched with a bit of orange flower dye for the tulips. I took branches stripped of leaves and glued on pieces of chenille stems to recreate the look of pussy willow.
